1/2 cup ketchup (use low-iodine
ketchup recipe from this
cookbook)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder (salt free)
Combine all ingredients. Arrange chicken in 9x13
pan. Pour sauce over chicken. Cook 3 hours at 325
degrees F, basting every 15-20 minutes until done.
Comment: It really isn’t that bad basting so often. I
